Half-Kneeling Lift


-Kneeling Lift
-Both Knees on ground    _____
-1/2 Kneeling                    _____ (Shown)
-Split squat stance            _____

Both Knees:
-Set cable column to low position.

-Kneel down on both knees and grab ‘cook bar’ or rope.

-Pull bar (or rope) in a diagonal pattern to your opposite shoulder.

-Maintain a tall posture throughout.

-Hips and shoulders do not rotate.

½ Kneeling

-Set cable column to low position.

-Kneel down in ½ kneeling (as shown above) & position one knee down and one leg.

-Always lift toward the up knee.

-Pull bar (or rope) in a diagonal pattern to your opposite shoulder.

-Maintain a tall posture.

-Hips and shoulders do not rotate.


Competency Criteria

Client maintained hips and shoulders stable during entire lift.

Client maintained a tall posture throughout exercise.

Use less weight on the lift (1/2) than the chop.
