Standing Chop
(2 Arms)
-Intermediate (70/30 weight shift)
(Dynamic or hips are not static)
(Cable arms are in high position)


-Face sideways to the cable machine.

-Grab cable arm as Exercise #10 directions depict.

-70% of your weight should be on the leg closest to the cable machine at the start of the movement.

-Bring cable to opposite hip & when expressing the weight away from the body, shift your weight to the outside leg so 70% of your weight is on that leg.

Note: When shifting your weight to the outside leg, bend that leg, while the leg closest to the machine remains relatively straight.

Competency Criteria

   Client weight shifts appropriately.

Client bends the outside knee without it bowing inward.

The leg closest to the cable machine remains relatively straight.

   Client does not flex trunk.

   Movement is simultaneous & not segmental.

Verbal Cues: Arms over right shoulder, push toward opposite hip. Repeat sequence on other side.
