Kneeling Chop

Both Knees:
-Set cable column to high position.

-Kneel down on both knees and grab ‘cook bar’ or rope.

-Push bar (or rope) in a diagonal pattern down to your opposite hip.

-Maintain a tall posture throughout.

-Hips and shoulders do not rotate.


½ Kneeling
-Set cable column to high position.

-Kneel down in ½ kneeling position so one knee is down and one leg is up.

-Always chop toward the down knee.

-Push bar (or rope) in a diagonal pattern to your opposite hip.

-Maintain a tall posture.

-Hips and shoulders do not rotate.

Competency Criteria


Client maintained hips and shoulders stable during entire lift.

Client maintained a tall posture throughout exercise.
