Field Goal Exercise
(2 Leg Standing/Squat)


- Adjust cables so they are at their lowest position.

-Stand up in symmetrical (squat) stance.

-Grab the cables in a crossed arm position.

-Squat down while arms are outstretched in front of you.

-Pull cables up in a diagonal position (D2 flexion) while simultaneously coming up from squat position.

-Initiate the pulling motion with the shoulder blades.

-Thumbs down at the bottom of the movement, thumbs up at the top.

-Advance to airex>1/2 foam roll under feet when this becomes easy.

Competency Criteria


Client does not hyperxtend their back during any portion of the pull.

Client‘s knees do not bow in and feet don’t roll inward (pronate) during squat.

Client is not rounding their spine when descending into the squat.

Client does not shrug (elevate) shoulders during initial pulling.

Shoulder blades are down and in at end of movement.

Chin remains in chin tuck position.
